In 2009 Sandi Patty took this picture with me for my tribute album to her.  Unfortunately while trying to remove the background, I accidentally saved over the original picture and sort of distorted it.  But you know, without proper understanding off things, life can be out of focus.  Especially when you have a disabled child and Doctors are lowering your expectations by telling you outdated information, instead of telling you the hopes and expectations that today's technology and advances offers.

Sadly, there are few role models.  So even when you are pointed in the direction of technology and things to help your child, you can't put a face on research papers, study cases, and data collection.  So, I decided to put together what I'm calling an audio music book.  I don't know if such a thing exists, but um, it does now.  God used many different signs to get me into music, Sandi Patty was just one of them.  So in sharing my life's story on this 8 hour and 53 minute album, I decided to use Sandi Patty's songs along with my story to help deepen the meaning, the points, and to give you time to process.  Different sections are going to bring out a ride range of emotions.  And just as Sandi features guests in many of her concerts, I have guests on this album.  And most importantly, many Doctors have the opinion that people with a disability can't stay on task.  So I felt the best thing I could do is to smash that opinion to smatterings.  it's one thing to simply say "That's not true".  But when you put evidence behind words, it kind of tables the argument.  Then you can bring things into true focus and actually help people.  It's easy to say what can't be done because doubt is part of life.  It's harder to view possibilities because it takes an actually effort and a willingness to try.
