Crip Camp

Due to some subject matters, I think this documentary should be rated (R), kids under 13 should not see this.  However, this is by far the very best documentary I have ever seen because it's 100 percent real!  This shows us being as normal as normal can get, and tells how we fought for the rights we have and enjoy today.  I think every person in America should see this because it shows how able we really are.  I personally give this a 5 star rating and think it should be a mandatory watch.

Only God Could Hear Me

I know 99 percent of the people in this Documentary.  The opening of this is weird because there is no narrated opening, you just see my friend Jen formulating a sentence.  And the lack of a real plot makes this slightly drag.  BUT, about 20 minutes in, it becomes extremely engaging.  This documentary basically touches on the lives of a few of my friends and explains their communication method.  I think the lack of a plot actually makes this documentary stronger because regular day to day has no plot.  So I think by showing every day life of these people, you totally see them as people, and their disabilities are way in the background where they should be.  I strangely give this a 5 star,

How To Overcome Your Disability

I'd love to know what exactly he had to overcome.  This guy is small and has brittle bones.  Yet he's married, he's a proud Father, he designed his own wheelchair and sells it, and I mean this guy never stops.  So I think you overcome a disability just by living life and adapting to life.  Once nothing holds you back, there is nothing to overcome.  If you don't want to see a disability, then watch this.  This guy just doesn't seem disabled.  He's differently abled.

Stephen Hawking.

I don't think anyone looks down on Stephen Hawking, who had one of the brightest minds in the world.  This guy ended up needing 24 hour care, but yet his intelligence and decision making were never questioned.  I think there's a black hole here on Earth.  People remain in the dark on disabilities and never grasp that we too are intelligent and can contribute to society.

Helen Keller

Imagine being deaf, blind, and unable to speak.  How would anyone teach you to communicate when you first had to grasp the concept of communication?  The answer, is basic repatition.  Kids for example, learn the ABC's by repeatedly singing the alphabet song.  Helen learned the alphabet by someone repeatedly signing it into her hand.  Every object around her, she'd touch, then someone would sign into her hand what each item was.  Nothing clicked until one day she associated the spelling of "Water" with actual water.  After she connected that word, other things in herd environment connect in her mind.  Then, her mind connect to the world and she grated from collage and became an author.

Beethoven.
Countless numbers of people have enjoyed the timeless Classical work of Beethoven.  Each piece, each sound, each note resonates deep within the hearts of people.  It's almost like being in another whelm as you let the music embraces your very soul.  The one person who couldn't fully enjoy the deep rich vastness of his work, was Beethoven himself due to hearing loss.  He felt the vibrations, as he was unable to fully hear the music he was composing.

Handi-hams

Ever wonder if you could travel the world, even though you were home-bound.  This documentary will introduce you to the world of ham radio.  Both blind and physically disabled people are on different ham bands, meeting the world.

May these documentaries be documented in your mind and change your view of the world.
